Foods II: Kids Recipes

Today we had a lab where we rotated around the lab and prepared 6 different snacks for children. After each snack, you had to evaluate it based on:

1. Color (children prefer BRIGHT colors)
2. Texture (prefer SOFT textures)
3. Temperature (prefer LUKEWARM or ROOM TEMPERATURE)
4. Flavor (prefer MILD flavors)
5. Whether it is/isn't NUTRIENT DENSE (children need NUTRIENT DENSE snacks)

To make up this lab, you need to Google 2 snacks for children and prepare them. Then evaluate if a child would like the snacks, based on the 5 above criteria.

When completed, please bring me:
1. The recipes you used
2. A small sample
3.Your evaluation of the snacks

For those students who want the recipes from what we made today, here is the link:

(If you weren't here, you may NOT use these recipes to make up your lab. You need to Google your own).
